iOS installation guide
iOS preview builds require a one-time device registration. The whole process takes about 2 minutes.
Step 1: Register your device
Open this link on your iPhone in Safari (other browsers won't work):
- 1 Tap "Allow" when prompted to download a configuration profile
- 2 Go to Settings → General → VPN & Device Management
- 3 Tap the downloaded profile and tap "Install"
- 4 This sends your device ID to our build system — no personal data is collected
Step 2: Install the app
- 1 Open the install link below in Safari on your iPhone
- 2 Tap "Install" → confirm "expo.dev would like to install Oack"
- 3 The app will appear on your home screen in a few seconds
Step 3: Trust the developer certificate
- 1 Open the app — iOS will show "Untrusted Enterprise Developer"
- 2 Go to Settings → General → VPN & Device Management → tap the certificate → Trust
- 3 Open Oack again — it will launch normally
Troubleshooting
"Unable to Install" error
Make sure you registered your device first (Step 1). Try again — the first attempt sometimes fails. Make sure you're using Safari, not Chrome.
App crashes on launch
Make sure you trusted the developer certificate (Step 3). Try deleting the app and reinstalling from the link.
Push notifications not working
When the app asks for notification permission, tap Allow. If you denied it, go to Settings → Oack → Notifications → Allow Notifications.
Updating the app
- Minor updates (bug fixes, UI changes) are delivered automatically — no action needed.
- Major updates (new native features) require a new install link. We'll notify you when one is available.
